A work application, installed by your employer, running on your employer's system.
Last updated 19 August 2026
Your employer runs this system. Stat Trac Mobile is issued by the organisation you work for and connects only to that organisation's own Stat Trac server. The work you record in it is that organisation's business record, visible to your management in the same way as any other work record.
This page covers Stat Trac Mobile specifically. Everything Proteus does with information in all of its software — encryption, audit logging, and what we never do — is set out in our general privacy policy, and applies here too.
How you get the app
Stat Trac Mobile is not published on a public app store. It is installed on company devices by your employer's IT function, and it works only once it is pointed at your employer's Stat Trac server and you have signed in with the credentials they issued.
What the app records
- Your work — work orders opened, updated and completed, the time and date of each, notes you enter, and photographs you attach to a job.
- Assets you touch — the equipment looked up or serviced, and the readings and parts recorded against it.
- Sign-off — the customer signature captured on completion of a job.
- Your account — your name, your technician or employee number, and your password in encrypted form. Your actual password is never stored.
What it does not record
- No advertising, and no advertising identifiers.
- No analytics, and no usage tracking of any kind.
- No crash reporting.
- No contacts, calendar, microphone or call information.
- No continuous location tracking. The app does not follow your movements between jobs or outside working hours.
Who can see it
Your employer — specifically the people in your organisation with the relevant Stat Trac permissions, typically your maintenance management and the administrators of the system. What you record on a job is a work record, not a private one. Access to records is written to an audit log, so your organisation can see who viewed what and when.
Where the information goes
- To your employer's own Stat Trac server, and nowhere else, over an encrypted connection.
- It is encrypted on the device as well, so a lost or stolen phone does not expose customer or asset information.
- Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared with any third party.
- Nothing is used to train any artificial-intelligence system.
Keeping and deleting information
Maintenance and service records are business records. Your employer keeps them for as long as their own policy and the law require — service history is often required for warranty, accreditation, and regulatory purposes long after a job is closed. To ask what is held about you as an individual, or to have it corrected, contact your employer; they are the responsible party and the people who can act on it.
Removing the app from a device clears the copy held on that device. It does not remove records from your employer's server.
